Alexa Ross Biography
Alexa Ross is an American journalist who works as a sports anchor and reporter at CBS4Indy & FOX59. She joined the station in September 2021. Previously, Ross served at WROC-TV Channel 8 as a sports anchor/reporter. She is delighted to be a part of the FOX59 sports team and to call Indianapolis home.
Alexa comes to FOX59 from Nexstar’s Rochester, NY sister station, where she spent two years covering the Buffalo Sabres, Buffalo Bills, Triple-A Rochester Red Wings, AHL Rochester Americans, and more. She lived in Upstate New York for three years and is not afraid of the winter. Ross, a native of Philadelphia, grew up as a die-hard sports fan (her first love being college basketball and the NFL) and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Temple University (GO OWLS!)
She worked as a production assistant for NBC Sports in PyeongChang during the 2018 Winter Olympics, where she anchored and reported for Temple’s Emmy-award-winning sports show, interned at NBC Sports Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Inquirer, and later worked as an anchor and reporter for Temple’s Emmy-award winning sports show.
In her free time, you can find her exploring downtown, watching Philadelphia sports, trying new restaurants and pubs, going to HIIT classes, visiting Butler Blue, and playing with her cat Theo.
