Ashley Holden is an American journalist currently serving as the Weekend Morning Anchor/Reporter at KWTV News 9. She enjoys telling others’ stories through a creative combination of visuals, sound, and her on-air presence. Ashley has to work closely with a team of anchors, producers, photographers to make sure everything is coordinated, written, edited, and ready for shows.
Previously Ashley was the Weekend Morning Anchor/Morning Reporter at KWQC. During her tenure Ashley produced and anchored both an hour-long and half-long show. This includes planning coverage, finding stories, acquiring information on breaking news overnight. In addition, Ashley coordinates with an editor and director before, during and after the shows.
Previously during her time at KWQC, Ashley was the Morning Reporter for a year and a Sports/News Reporter also for a year. Before moving to the Valley, Ashley found herself back at the anchor desk as the Weekend Morning Anchor at News 9 in Oklahoma City. She enjoyed waking up early with viewers and planning live, impactful interviews.
While in OKC she also reported for both the morning and evening shows covering the aftermath of deadly tornadoes, the impacts of COVID-19, and the state’s death row cases. Ashley also helped with a series known as United Voice, which aimed to promote a healthy dialogue about race.
