Lachelle joined NBC10 in July of 2019 and is thrilled to share with viewers the incredible hidden gems the Philadelphia region has to offer. One of Aunyea’s most inspiring stories was when she shared the story of a 17-year-old cancer survivor who co-founded a pocket square company known as Rex Riccardi. One collection was inspired by the late footballer Garo Yepremian’s artwork. The money raised from their collections benefits cancer research. She says the story struck her because her grandfather died of cancer in 2017 and, therefore, this young man’s narrative and mission meant a lot to her.

The duo met at a house party through a mutual friend in the summer of 2012, while Jean was attending Temple University and Lachelle was home on summer break from West Chester University. The couple tied the knot on Sunday, May 31, 2020, at Germantown’s New Hope Temple Baptist Church.
The church was founded by the bride’s late great-great-grandpa, Dewitt Beauford. The couple had to postpone their dream wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic. So they decided on a small ceremony until they could properly celebrate with friends and loved ones. In addition, the bride and groom’s parents, grandparents, and siblings attended the intimate ceremony, as well as Aunyea’s best friend, Dana Lee, who served as their videographer and photographer for the day.
Unfortunately, the gown Aunyea wore on her wedding day was not the one she had planned on wearing. She wore a white one-shoulder tuxedo-inspired mini dress for her intimate ceremony, but Aunyea has been working on her dream gown with Philadelphia-based and Haitian-born designer Prajje Oscar since 2018.
