Azziad Nasenya, famously known as Kenya’s TikTok Queen, is a Kenyan actress, content creator, media host, and social media personality. She has been active since 2019.
Nasenya studied at Central Primary School, based in Mumias. She later transferred to Cathsam School in Nairobi. However, she transferred again and joined Lugulu Girls Boarding Primary School, where she finished her primary education. Later on, she joined St. Cecilia Misikhu Girls’ High School, Misikhu, for her high school education, which she completed in 2017. Currently, she is a student at the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism.
While Azziad was seven years old, in Class 2, she kicked off acting and dancing in school. She performed solo verses while in high school, completing the national level of the Kenya Schools and Colleges Drama Festival. After completing her high school education, she joined the Hearts of Art Theatre Group in Nairobi. Nasenya’s first role in the group was as a supporting cast member in the play Repair My Heart in March 2018. Between 2018 and 2019, she was cast in seven stage plays by Hearts of Art. During that period, she met her present manager, Peter Arwa, an actor, director, producer, and filmmaker.
In August 2019, Azziad joined TikTok, where she showcased her dancing, lipsync, and acting skills. Her TikTok account topped some of the TikTok challenges, was verified in February 2020, and earned her the title of East Africa TikTok Queen. In April 2020, she danced to Femi One and Mejja’s Utawezana song challenge, and the video blew up the internet.

Moreover, in early 2020, Nasenya was cast as the lead female role in a TV series. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the production was postponed. In June 2020, she appeared as Chichi in Selina Telenovela, aired on Maisha Magic East by M-Net and MultiChoice. She also played Bianca and Fatuma in the same series. Azziad and Mwaniki Mageria co-hosted Concert Nyumbanu, a TV show celebrating COVID-19 heroes, in July 2020.
In addition, Azziad hosts The Shoe Game with Azziad on her YouTube channel, where she explores the stories behind her guest’s shoes. Azziad is also a Radio Presenter at Soundcity Africa hosting the #Whatsapp254 show on weekday mornings from 6 am to 10 am. She joined the station’s team back in April 2021. Nasenya has also been a brand ambassador for BIC Miss Soleil since February 2022.
