Ivory Hecker Biography
Ivory Hecker is a popular American journalist and the founder of Ivory Media LLC (ivoryhecker.com), an independent journalism company free from corporate shackles and untethered from special interests. The company was created in August of 2021 with the primary objective of delivering knowledge to people who cherish their individual liberty in order to remain free and self-governing.
During the years 2020 and 2021, Hecker witnessed the corruption inside her own company, FOX Corp, and realized the need for independent journalism. She saw the corporation regularly put its special interests ahead of the viewers’ interests and the facts while working as a reporter and fill-in anchor.
On June 14, 2021, she brought out the corruption live on air. The video went viral all over the world. People reached from all across the world, sharing their own concerns about media misinformation. Similarly, Ivory received thousands of dollars in donations, allowing her to start her own business.
Hecker previously worked as a full-time hard news reporter and fill-in anchor at the Murdoch-owned FOX local station in Houston, FOX 26. She covered everything from presidential visits by Biden, Obama, Trump, Bush, Clinton, and Carter to President George H.W. Bush’s death and funeral in his hometown.
In addition, she appeared on local and national television to cover the large march and funeral for George Floyd, two World Series involving the Astros, the Hurricane Harvey recovery, the Santa Fe mass shooting, and chemical fires and explosions in the oil and gas business.

Prior to joining FOX 26, Ivory spent two years as a reporter and fill-in anchor for the NBC affiliate in Minneapolis. Prior to that, she worked as a reporter for the NBC affiliate in Lexington, Kentucky for two years. Moreover, Ivory’s first full-time TV job was as a reporter for the Columbia, South Carolina-based FOX affiliate.
Ivory began her career as a reporter for CitrusTV in Syracuse. She was chosen for a paid internship at WBNG-TV in Binghamton, NY by the New York State Broadcasters Association. Ivory worked as a summer reporter for KBJR-TV in Duluth, Minnesota, while still in college. She also worked as an intern at KABC-TV in Los Angeles and YNN Syracuse.
Hecker grew up in Wisconsin, where she developed her love of journalism while competing in high school radio speaking contests and working as a radio announcer at WRLS-FM. In her spare time, she enjoys playing guitar, producing music, and working out.
Regarding her schooling, Hecker graduated from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism.
