Kari Patey is a popular American news director at WCCO-TV in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This mile represents a homecoming for her, who got a start at WCCO-TV in 1999, as a producer of WCCO This Morning. After spending six years in the Minneapolis-St Paul market, which as well included a stint as a producer at KSTP-TV, Patey headed to WNBC-TV in New York beginning in January 2006.
She was working as that station’s assistant news director, a position she got after rising through the ranks as a writer and producer. She landed a job as a news director at WCCO in December 2017.
