Katie McKee is an American journalist and traffic reporter for Good Day Columbus at WSYX. She joined the Good Day Colum bus in June 2017 after spending time working for other news outlets in the southeast. Prior to joining WSYX, Katie was working as a reporter in Jacksonville, Florida for CBS/FOX from 2005 to 2017.
What’s more, McKee attended Ohio University and graduated with s degree in political science in 2009. After her graduation, she joined Atlanta Broadcast Institute to advance her skills in video editing and broadcast operations. Additionally, her first reporting opportunity was at FOX Affiliate in Columbia, South Carolina where she broke a story of a missing 15-year-old girl named Gabbie Swainson.
Furthermore, while at CBS/FOX, she spent a week reporting on the shooting at Pulse Night Club and provided coverage of the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew. Katie worked for noon newscasts at WIS in Palmetto State as a morning reporter and anchor. Currently, she is on morning weekdays from 4:25 am to 8:30 am on Good Day Columbus.
