He began his career at KLMG-TV in Longview, Texas as a weekend anchor and reporter. Later on, Potash moved to WFIE-TV in Evansville, Indiana as a morning anchor. In addition, he worked at KOTV-TV in Tulsa, Oklahoma as an anchor and political reporter for the weekend shows.
He also worked as a morning anchor at WFIE-TV in Evansville, Indiana. Potash joined the WGN-TV network in 1994. He covered the field by sharing extensive stories in the field of history, science, and religion among others.
