Liz Cho is an American journalist and anchor. Currently she is a co-anchor of WABC-TV’s Eyewitness News First at 4pm and Eyewitness News at 6pm. Cho joined WABC-TV on July 7, 2003, replacing Diana Williams at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.

In 2011, Cho began anchoring the station’s new “First at 4:00” newscast, with David Novarro, filling the hour left vacant by the departure of The Oprah Winfrey Show. In addition, as of 2012, she continues to anchor the 6 p.m. broadcasts with Bill Ritter.

Before joining Channel 7 Liz was working at ABC News, where she was an anchor for World News Now and was a correspondent for the network. During her time she covered stories for Good Morning America, World News Tonight and Nightline. Liz also anchored coverage of the early weeks of the Iraq War for Good Morning America.

Initially, Liz was a Chicago-based correspondent for ABC News. She traveled the country covering such national stories as President Clinton’s impeachment hearings. She also covered the Columbine High School shootings and devastating tornadoes in the Midwest. In addition, Liz worked as a reporter at WPLG-TV in Miami. Moreover, Cho began her professional career as an assignment editor at New England Cable News in Newton, Massachusetts.

Moreover, he was the one who headed the team that did the first liver transplant in Boston. He died from colon cancer on March 13, 2009. Liz has a younger brother, Andrew.
