Mika Brzezinski is an American talk show host, liberal political commentator, and author. She is currently a co-host for MSNBC’s weekday morning broadcast show Morning Joe. In addition, she joined MSNBC in 2007 as an occasional anchor. Previously, Mika served as a CBS News correspondent and was CBS’ principal ”Ground Zero” reporter during the morning of the September 11 attacks.
Brzezinski attended the Madeira School. Later she enrolled in Williams College but transferred to Georgetown University where she studied for a period of two years. What’s more, she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English in 1989.
Mika’s career started as an assistant at ABC’s World News This Morning in 1990. One year later, she moved to Tribune-owned Fox affiliate WTIC-TV in Hartford, Connecticut where she advanced from assignment and features editor to general assignments reporter. After a while, Brzezinski left the station to Join CBS affiliate WFSB-TV IN 1992.
Furthermore, after being in and out of many stations, Mika joined MSNBC in 2007 doing ”Up to the Minute” news updates. She also filed occasional reports for NBC Nightly News and appeared as an occasional anchor on Weekend Today. She’s been in the station to date and has advanced severely.
