Reggie Wilson Biography
Reggie Wilson is a popular American journalist who currently serves as the sports director at KARE 11 News. He joined KARE 11 as a sports director after covering all things Cincinnati sports for two years. Wilson is a native of St. Louis/Southern Illinois area, where he grew up watching KSDK, KARE 11’s sister station. Prior to Queen City, he worked as a sports anchor and reporter in Dayton, OH.
Reggie started his career in Wichita, KS as a news photojournalist and rose through the ranks to cover sports in Dodge City, KS. If you are familiar with the television show Gunsmoke, you know the place. Wilson attended the University of Missouri School of Journalism (M-I-Z), where he met his lovely wife, Alexis. Moreover, he is an active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. as well as the National Association of Black Journalists.
Wilson went to Minneapolis for the first time in 2015 for the NABJ National Convention. While there, he met the incredible Boyd Huppert, who’s become a mentor to him. Moreover, Reggie is excited to now be his teammate and tell sports stories in the Twin Cities. In his free time, you can find him trying new foods and exploring all the sights.
