Marlena Mumma is an American news anchor working at the WLTZ First News team since January 2017. Mumma serves as News Bureau Reporter covering Auburn, Eufaula, Opelika, and communities across East Alabama. In addition, she anchors for the weekday mornings at the station.
Regarding her education, Mumma attended the University of Arizona to pursue journalism where she minored in political science and psychology. Marlena currently anchors at WLTZ First News where she served the station as a News Bureau reporter. She started her career at WBKB in a small town in Northern Michigan Alpena.
Moreover, installed with great determination, Marlena did everything from reporting to anchoring and even weather on the weekends. The warm weather in the area led Mumma to her next job in the Lone Star state. She reported and anchored weekend newscasts for KETK in Tyler and WVLA in Baton Tuscon.
After working for two years in East Texas, Marlena relocated to central Texas for a reporting job at KWTV in Waco. She was then promoted to the 3 p.m. anchor position. Additionally, Marlena produced and hosted many different guests from bands to cooks to fashion designers and pet adoption centers.
