Jonathan Martin is an American political journalist currently serving as a political correspondent for the New York Times. In addition, he is the co-author of the 2012 book The End of the Line: Romney’s Obama: The 34 days that decided the election. Previously, Martin served as the senior political writer for Politico.
Martin has been covering politics and the aftermath of the 2006 midterm elections for the National Review magazine. In addition, his work has been published in the New Republic, National Journal, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal. He has also appeared on television and radio as a political analyst and commentator on CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, MSNBC, and NPR.
Jonathan graduated with a bachelor of arts degree and majored in History from Hampden Sydney College. He started his career at National Journal’s political and the aftermath of the 2006 midterm for National Review magazine.
He traveled as a White House correspondent across the country in 2008 covering the New Obama Administration and an array of events including the G20 summit in London and a NATO summit in Strasbourg.
