Alan Campbell is an American journalist best known as an Emmy award-winning anchor who currently anchors NBC-2 News Today starting at 4:30 am Monday through Friday. He began his career in Charleston South Carolina, covering stories from Tropical storms to American Idol Auditions.
Alan then decided to move to Texas where he worked as a morning anchor at KRGV, the ABC affiliate in the Rio Grande Valley. During his there, Alan won several AP awards for best newscast and covered stories about the cartels, drug and human trafficking, and immigration.
Alan spent four years in Texas, and then moved to Detroit, Michigan, the “Motor City”. He worked as the 5 pm anchor and reported for the late newscast while also filling in as a primary anchor.
