Alex Holley is an American journalist working at FOX 29 News since joining in 2014. She serves as a co-host of ”Good Day Philadelphia”. Previously, she worked at WMBF-TV in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. While there, she served as a reporter and a fill-in anchor for the station’s morning news programs. She covered a wide range of life stories, from hurricanes and tropical storms to the 2012 Republican Presidential Primary Debates.
What’s more, Alex attended the University of Missouri(MIZZOU) Tiger, where she graduated from one of the best journalism schools in the nation. In addition, while at the University, Holley was voted Mizzou’s Homecoming Queen and she carried a double minor in Sociology and Spanish. Before WMBF-TV, she worked as a reporter, anchor, and producer at KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri. She also served as an anchor for the innovative multi-source news website, Newsy.com.
Furthermore, Holley created a recognized community service program for students called ”SWIPES Make a Difference.” The program carries on with helping college students donate unused meal plans to those in need in local communities. Other than work, her favorite hobby is traveling as she has explored more than eleven different countries, and is proficient in Spanish, having studied at the Universidad de Salamanca at age 13.
