Antoinette Antonio is an American journalist. Currently, she serves as a co-anchor of WCVB’s EyeOpener newscasts (4:30AM-7AM) with co-anchor Doug Meehan and Meteorologist Cindy Fitzgibbon. Additionally, Antonio anchors NewsCenter 5 at Noon (12N-12:30PM) with co-anchor Erika Tarantal and Meteorologist Cindy Fitzgibbon.
She joined the NewsCenter 5 team in June of 2013. Since she came to Boston, Antonio has been lucky enough to cover victory parades for three Patriots Super Bowl wins as well as two Red Sox World series wins. Before she joined WCVB Antonio served as a morning anchor and reporter at KOB in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Antoinette stayed in Albuquerque for approximately seven years, where she covered different stories from wildfires to floods to snow storms and even hot air balloon crashes. She also got a chance interview Barack Obama during his campaign for President. She was part of a number of team Breaking News awards from the New Mexico Broadcasters Association.
