Bianna Golodryga is a Moldovan-born American journalist and news anchor. Currently, she serves as a senior global affairs analyst at CNN. She joined CNN in 2018 after it was announced that she had accepted a full-time role at the network as a senior global affairs analyst. Earlier on she was the news and finance anchor at Yahoo! News.
Apart from joining CNN full-time, she served as co-anchor for “CBS This Morning.” During her time she led the network’s coverage of President George H.W. Bush’s funeral. She also conducted a number of news-making interviews, including an exclusive with the CEO of Huawei, his first with a U.S. journalist. Previously, she had filled in on the CBS Evening News and appeared on other network broadcasts including Sunday Morning, Face the Nation and CBSN, and the division’s 24/7 digital streaming network.
Previously Bianna was the news and finance anchor for Yahoo News. Before that, she co-anchored “Good Morning America’s” weekend edition, as well as serving as ABC News’ Business Correspondent. Bianna began her career in television news in 2001 as a bureau producer from the New York Stock Exchange for the cable news channel, CNBC. Prior to her career in television, she worked in the financial services sector.

She is the daughter and the only child of Zhanna and Vitaly Golodryga. Her mother is the chief digital and administrative officer for Phillips 66 and previously worked as the chief information officer of Hess Corporation. Her father is a mechanical engineer and was a consultant for DuPont.
In 1980, when she was one year and six months old, her family left the Soviet Union as political refugees, each with $75. They settled in Houston, Texas, after initially moving to Galveston, Texas. She has returned to Moldova only once since then, visiting her grandparents and cousins in 1988. That same year, her grandmother joined them in Houston.
