Charlie De Mar is an American Emmy award-winning journalist well known for his coverage of some biggest stories impacting the Chicagoland area. He was also instrumental in breaking several stories in the Jussie Smollet investigation. Currently, he is working as a reporter for WBBM-TV and 2 News in Chicago since June 2016. Previously, Charlie was working as an evening reporter for WTTV and WXIN FOX59/ CBS4 in Indianapolis, Indiana from May 2014.
De Mar is an alumnus of Francis W. Parker School in 2008 and a proud graduate of the University of Arizona holding a degree in Broadcast Journalism and Marketing. He graduated with a Cum Laude grade from the university. He traveled abroad and studied international press law in 11 countries on 4 different continents.

Before joining FOX59/ CBS4, Charlie was a reporter for WFFT-TV in Fort Wayne, Indiana from June 2012 for 2 years. His work has made a national impact and a series of reports have led to the introduction of a new federal law that holds all Veterans Affairs hospitals accountable for their prescription services.
