Christine Romans is an American journalist and author currently working as the chief business correspondent for CNN. She also anchors ”Early Start” on weekdays from 4 am to 6 am with Laura Jarrett and the weekend business program ”Your Money.” Previously, Romans worked for Reuters and Knight Ridder Financial News.
In education, Christine went to Pleasant Valley High School and graduated in 1989. She later joined Iowa State University in 1993 and majored in French, journalism, and mass communication. In addition, she studied French media and French literature at L’Institut Catholique de Lyon in France in the summer of 1991. Afterward, Romans worked for a group of newspapers in the Midwest and was a reporter and anchor for Reuters Television.
In 1999, she joined CNN and began reporting from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. Currently, she serves as the Chief Business Correspondent and was at some time awarded an Emmy Award for covering several stories including stories about globalization all across the states and beyond.
