Denise Koch is a seasoned Baltimore news anchor having worked in media journalism for nearly three decades. Born and brought up in California, United States, Denise is a graduate of Pasadena High School. He later joined UCLA & even earned a Natalie Wood Award.
Koch attended Pasadena High School before joining the California Institute of Arts. She further enrolled at the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor for her Master’s degree. Moreover, she attended UCLA, earning the prestigious Natalie Wood Award for her talents.
The award-winning journalist has traveled to China, West Africa, and Jamaica to cover and report the news. She also covered the homefront from around the United States and from every corner of Baltimore, bringing local, national, and international events into sharp focus for WJZ viewers.

Besides the already mentioned Emmy Award, her work has earned her several awards. Her reporting has been nominated for Emmy Awards six times. In addition, The Society of Professional Journalists gifted her for her documentary on Baltimore teachers in China.
Her acting career has taken her to theatres around the country. She also landed herself on the soap opera, “Another World”, eventually bringing her to Center Stage where she also served as literary manager. Denise has also taught at UMBC, the University of Michigan, and the University of Wisconsin. For 10 years, Denise was a member of the Howard County Arts Council. Currently, she is a board member of the United Way of Central Maryland as well as a member of their women’s leadership council.
