Jesse Wells is a renowned American journalist who serves as a general assignment reporter at Fox59 and CBS4Indy since July 2015. He’s returning to Indiana for the second time. He also worked for three years at the Fort Wayne NBC affiliate. Wells spent time outside of Indiana at stations in Sioux City, Green Bay, and, most recently, Oklahoma City, where he worked for eight years. He focused on reporting criminal stories as a Sooner, spending practically every day at the “police shop.”
Wells also received an Emmy for his coverage of the horrific tornado that struck Plaza Towers Elementary School on May 20, 2013, killing multiple children. He is a Hawkeye through and through. He grew up in the Quad Cities and enrolled in The University of Iowa for his education.
