Jim Berry is an American Emmy award-winning journalist currently serving as the co-anchor of CBS News Miami at 5:30 p.m. and the 9 p.m. newscast that airs on TV 33/WBFS-TV. Jim’s career with CBS began in Chicago, at WBBM-TV. He joined WFOR as its main sports anchor in 1996. During his tenure at CBS4, he has also served as co-anchor of CBS4 this morning, and the co-host of the “Jim & Jade” morning show.
Jim’s broadcasting career began at WBTV in Charlotte, N.C. where he reported and anchored news. From there, he moved to WJLA-TV in Washington, D.C. as a news reporter and anchor before turning to sports. He then landed at WSVN-TV in Miami as it’s main sports anchor.
Moreover, Jim is a three-time Best of Miami winner, and has won five Emmy awards. However, he is a member of the Silver Circle of Excellence in the Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Arts and Sciences for a distinguished journalism career.
