Joe Fryer is an award-winning American journalist currently serving as a west coast News correspondent at NBC News in Universal City, California. He joined the station in 2013 as a part-time correspondent and after a year, he became a full-time correspondent. Fryer also reports for all NBC platforms including MSNBC, NBC Nightly News, and Today. Previously, Fryer was a reporter for KING-TV the NBC affiliate in Seattle, Washington.
Fryer has also worked for KARE-TV in Minneapolis, Minnesota, WTVF-TV in Nashville, Tennessee, WBAY-TV in Green Bay, Wisconsin as well as WKYT-TV in Lexington, Kentucky. In 2014, he received an Emmy award along with photojournalist Jeff Christian in the category of “Feature News Report.” In addition, Fryer garnered an award in the writing category for his composite “Fryer’s Favorite Features.”
