Laura Okmin is an American journalist who currently works for FOX Sports serving as a reporter since joining in 2002. While at the station, she mainly covers NFL games play-by-play announcer Chris Myers and analyst Daryl Johnson.
Additionally, Laura grew up in Kansas and attained her High School Diploma from a local high school and later joined the University of Kansas. Later she earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism. She started her career as a Sports Reporter in Montgomery, Ala. Currently, she is a feature reporter both for FOX NFL Sunday and FOX NFL Kickoff. For more than two decades, Okmin has covered the biggest names on the biggest stages, including two Olympics, more than ten Super Bowls, and MLB ALL-Star Games among others.
Furthermore, Laura has hosted three national FSN shows and has also served as a feature reporter for the Orange and Fiesta BCS Bowl Games. Previously she worked for NT/TBS Sports, where she hosted Braves and Thrasher’s coverage and reported on the NBA Playoffs. What’s more, she worked at CNN for a period of five years serving as a reporter and host, anchoring the network’s premier sports shows, CNN Early Edition, CNN Morning News, Page One, and NBA Today. This aired daily on CNN and CNNSI.
