Manu Raju is an American well-known journalist who serves as the Chief Congressional Correspondent at the news network CNN. He covers the United States Congress and campaign politics. Manu joined CNN in September 2015. Prior to joining CNN, Manu was a regular guest on many networks and programs. Some of these networks include NBC’s Meet the Press and CBS’ Face the Nation. When Manu was hired by CNN, Erik Wemple of The Washington Post called the move a “towering get” for the network.
In 2016 for CNN Manu was the network’s lead correspondent covering Sen. Marco Rubio’s presidential campaign. He then covered widely the GOP establishment’s struggle with Donald Trump and broke big news in high-profile Senate races, including in New Hampshire. The following year, Raju was featured on the cover of the India Abroad newspaper. He was dubbed the “King of the Hill” for reporting on key decision-makers in the United States and on Capitol Hill.
