Melanie Lawson is an American Award-winning journalist who currently works for ABC13 Eyewitness News in Houston as an anchor and reporter. She began as a full-time general assignments reporter at Channel 13 and later became the co-anchor of Live at 5, Eyewitness News at 11 a.m, and Channel 13 midday show.
In the education sector, Melanie attended Princeton University and earned an undergraduate degree in Politics. In addition, she also attended Columbia University and obtained a joint degree in Law and Journalism. From there she began her journalism career.
