Olmo graduated high school in May 2017 and growing up listened mostly to rap and Spanish music through his mother. His father would listen to Jay-Z and introduce him to rock bands such as The Fray. To wrap up 2020, he released a non-album single ”Holding On” on November 20, coming in at number 14 n the Official New Zealand Music Chart.

Olmo (January 29, 2021) was the lead vocalist for the single ”Higher” by the British electronic music group Clean Bandit.
