Ryan Field Bio

Ryan Field is an American sportscaster. He is currently a Sports Anchor on WABC-TV’s Eyewitness News Weeknight and Saturday Morning Newscasts. He joined WABC-TV on October 26, 2016. This is after spending three years working as an Anchor/Host at Fox Sports 1 in Los Angeles.

Ryan co-anchored ABC-7’s NYC Marathon Coverage, Marathon Sunday, alongside Sam Ryan as one of her first assignments upon officially returning to WABC.

During his time at WJBK (Fox 2) in Detroit, he hosted the network’s “FOX Sports Live”, “MLB on FOX” and “MLB WhipAround” programs. Prior to joining FS1, Ryan served as a correspondent for FOX Sports Detroit. During his time he was a host on Pistons, Tigers, and Red Wings coverage from 2003 to 2013. At FOX Sports Detroit Ryan covered the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Pistons, and Detroit Red Wings for Fox Sports Detroit (FSD).

Ryan then left FSD to join the launch of Fox Sports 1 in August 2013. He served as an anchor and studio host. Field was also seen on a number of the channel’s programs including Fox Sports Live, MLB Whiparound, Inside the Big East, and more. He can also be heard as co-host of a sports talk radio show on Fox Sports Radio each Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET, along with former NBA player, Jim Jackson.
