Trace Gallagher Bio
Trace Gallagher is an American journalist. Currently he serves as FOX News Channel’s (FNC) chief breaking news correspondent. Recently, Tracy was named anchor of FOX News @ Night (weeknights 12-1 AM/ET) replacing founding host Shannon Bream. This is after Shannon was named host of Fox News Sunday. Trace has been hosting the program since October 3, 2022.
Gallagher joined FNC at the network’s launch in 1996. Since then he has covered the biggest breaking news stories throughout the past 26 years. Throughout his tenure with the network, Gallagher’s breaking news coverage has taken him around the world. He has reported numerous stories abroad including conflicts throughout the Middle East and the tsunami in Southeast Asia.
Based in Los Angeles, Gallagher served as a co-anchor (with Martha MacCallum) of The Live Desk and as a substitute anchor for Studio B with Shepard Smith and Fox Report. During his time at Fox Gallagher has reported on the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster and the 2004 Southeast Asian tsunami.[1] Gallagher has also served as a general assignment correspondent.
Prior to joining FNC Trace worked at Fox’s Chicago, San Francisco, and New York City news bureaus. Previously Gallagher worked at WCPX (now WKMG) in Orlando, KVBC (now KSNV) in Las Vegas, and KTVB in Boise.
