Vic Carter is an American journalist currently working as an anchor and reporter at WJZ-YV since joining the station in 1995. For 30 years he has approached his job with philosophy taking stories and viewers to a whole other new level.
Carter graduated with honors from Morehead State University and after two days, he began his career. In addition, his career path has taken him to employment at WSET-TV in Lynchburg, WRAL-TV in Raleigh, WSB-TV in Atlanta Ga and finally WJZ-TV in WJZ where he works currently.
Furthermore, he serves on the board of trustees for the MSU Foundation and has been visiting lecturer and Black Scholar in Residence. Vic has also received broadcasting’s highest honor, the George Foster Peabody Award at the age of 23 years. What’s more, he was named journalist of the year by The School of Journalism at the University of Georgia and was inducted into the National Association for Balck Journalists Hall of Fame.
