Windsor Johnston is an American journalist currently working for the NPR network as a reporter. She joined the station in 2011. Additionally, she also teaches at American University as an adjunct journalism professor. Prior to joining NPR, Windsor served as a freelance reporter in Kenya.
Furthermore, she writes, produces, and delivers hourly national newscasts. Windsor attended the University of Temple University where she earned a degree in broadcast journalism in 1999. She brings over twenty years of experience as a host, anchor, and reporter at various news organizations like NPR Member stations. Additionally, from 1995 to 2011, Johnston served at WRTI as a News Director and as a Morning News Anchor and also a reporter at WHYY.
