Angie Lassman is a three-time Emmy Award-winning meteorologist currently working as a meteorologist at NBC. She is on the First Alert Weather Team. She is passionate about the environment and climate change. Lassman graduated from Fraser High School. Later on, she enrolled at the Florida Institute of Technology and graduated with a bachelor of science in meteorology from the department of Ocean Engineering and sciences. In addition, Lassman earned her master’s degree in Master of Science in Meteorology from FIT.
Moreover, she was a facilitator for the FIT Department of Space Sciences, educating Florida Division for Emergency Management officials and law enforcement on proper procedures and also on crisis management. Lassman started her career as a meteorologist and reporter at News-Press & Gazzette Company for 2 years in Saint Joseph, Missouri as a weekday morning meteorologist.
Before working at NBC 6, Lassman worked as a morning meteorologist and reporter for Fox 26 KNPN in St Joseph, Missouri. While working there, she provided coverage of snowstorms and tornado outbreaks. Additionally, she worked for WDIV as a Broadcast Meteorological intern. In her leisure time, Lassman enjoys the beach, traveling, photography, and fashion.
