Ben Dery is an American meteorologist currently working as a weather anchor for KARE 11 in Minneapolis, Minnesota since joining the team in July 2020. Before he joined the station, Ben worked as a weather forecaster at KARE sister station KING-5 based in Seattle. He is already in love with the job because of its changing nature. Ben always talks about his passion for weather and his awe of a big thunderstorm.
He grew up in the Chicago Lakes area and started his broadcast career in Duluth doing weather for the morning show. Before that, he graduated from SCSU with a bachelor’s degree in meteorology and interned at KARE in 2008.
