Brittany Bell is an American Meteorologist who is currently working as a weather anchor and news personality at ABC7NY. She comes to ABC7 NY from ABC 11 in Raleigh, North Carolina. She has also filled in on Good Morning America and World News Tonight.
Bell was one of the kids who developed a love for weather at a young age. One major event that sparked her interest in weather was the Nashville F3 tornado in 1998. At the time, she was in school when the storm hit only miles away. This event inspired her to become who she is today.
She earned the Certified Broadcast Meteorology seal from the American Meteorological Society. She also graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Professional Meteorology from Mississippi State University. At the university, she was selected to participate in the school’s Great Plains storm chase.
Bell began her career freelancing at WMC-TV in Memphis. during her senior year in college. After that, she worked at 40/29 in Northwest Arkansas, and on other channels including WAPT and ABC 11. Currently, she is a weather anchor at ABC7NY. When off her duties she loves spending time outdoors with family and friends.
