Chad Mira Biography
Chad Mira is an American journalist and news anchor presently at FOX 24/KNWA. He co-hosts the Northwest Arkansas News at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 10 p.m. Previously, he served as evening news in Bismarck, North Dakota. Mira is a graduate of the University of Missouri- Colombia graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism. He landed his first job at KBIA Public Radio from August 2008 to January 2009. Later on, he worked as a reporter, producer, and anchor at KOMU serving for 4 years.
Mira headed to WJHG-TV to produce news at noon. He was as well a fill-in evening and morning producer. Mira worked as a reporter at News 14 Carolina in Greensboro, North Carolina. His main role was to shoot, write and edit news stories for the24 hour cable news network and ABC 45. Moreover, Mira covered several major political events, and several presidential rallies and served as a correspondent on a statewide Sunday morning political news show.
He also discovered a contentious aspect of a school’s district security plan involving the storage of AR-15 firearms at middle and high schools. Most notably, Mira anchored the news in Springfield, MO where he was first on the air with the Gypsy and Dee Dee Blanchard case which is a case that has now been featured in an HBO documentary and a HULU original series.
Additionally, Miran worked at KOLR 10 News as a morning anchor and on XK News as an Evening Anchor. Other than reporting the news he likes to spend time outdoors with his family, playing golf, reading, and volunteering in various activities.
