David Yeomans is an Award-winning meteorologist who currently works at KXAN-TV in Austin, Texas, serving as the weekday morning neteorologist. He joined the station in June 2012. He had an interest in weather from a young as age and had already started checking out stacks of meteorology biiks form the public library.
After a while, David became a registered storm spotter while keeping climate records for the National Weather Service office. He attained his high school diploma from Westlake High School in 2005 and later enrolled in meteorology at the University of Miami. During his summer, after the first year at Miami, he relocated to Austin to work as an intern in the KXAN weather department, Additionally, he held internships at CBS4 Miami and Spectrum News in Austin. However, in 2010, he went back to the University of Miami for graduate studies in meteorology and was involved in campus broadcasting programs.
In addition, Yeomans worked for the campus TV station as the lead weather anchor for the half-hour news show called Newsvision. He also received a masters degree from the University of Miami.
