Eric Stone is a famous American meteorologist presently working for WFLA News. He is interested in both winter and summer weather. Stone previously worked for WINK News. Regarding his schooling, Stone graduated in both meteorology and applied mathematics at Plymouth State University in Plymouth. Later on, he attended the University of Utah where he graduated with a Masters’s degree in Meteorology. In addition, he earned his AMS seal of approval in May 2009 as he was working at KSTU in Salt Lake City.
Stone joined the WFLA weather team in October 2021. Before he worked as a weekend meteorologist at fox 4 in Fort Myers. He kicked off his career at KSTU Fox 13 in Salt Lake City in 2001 as a weather producer. Stone also took weather observations at the Salt Lake City International Airport for the FAA. This was after the doctors told his parents that he has an issue with the nervous system leading him to have poor hand-eye coordination.
