Jenna DeAngelis Biography
Jenna DeAngelis is an American Emmy award-winning journalist currently working as a general assignment reporter at CBS 2. Previously, she worked as a reporter at stations in Hartford, Connecticut, and Myrtle Beach. DeAngelis kicked off her journalism career on CBS-TV station KYW-assignment TV’s desk. She was helping to cover stories from Philadelphia and New Jersey including the Penn State child harassment crisis and Hurricane Sandy.
DeAngelis is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s degree in TV production and broadcast journalism. She was an intern at KYM in Philadelphia, News 12 Long Island, and Fox 29. DeAngelis joined CBS 2 News in March 2018. She has covered a multitude of subjects in her career time at the station including the COVID-19 pandemic breaking news and feature stories. In addition, she climbed the George Washington Bridge to cover a story on Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Besides being a good writer and reporter, DeAngelis is also good at filming and editing her stories. Throughout her carer, DeAngelis covered the story of a convicted police officer caught mishandling 88 cases involving more than 120 people with criminal histories.
Additionally, DeAngelis did a Connecticut-based group series that recorded thousands of suspected abusers targeting children online, field coverage of the 2015 South Carolina flood, and local coverage of multiple political campaigns by candidates in the 2016 election.
