Zain Asher is a British-Nigerian journalist who currently works as a news anchor at CNN International, based in New York City. She anchors the network’s primetime, global news show One World with Zain Asher airing weekdays at 12 pm ET. In addition, she hosts Marketplace Africa, CNNI’s weekly business show.
Asher has also anchored CNN’s special coverage around #MyFreedomDay, a global call to action that raised awareness of modern-day slavery all over the world. She also covered the deaths of Fidel Castro, boxing legend Muhamed Ali and singer George Michael.
