Scott Pasmore Biography
Scott Pasmore is a renowned American journalist who works as a news anchor for Good Morning Arizona at KTVK-TV3 in Phoenix, Arizona on weekdays. He arrived at the station in September 1989 and began anchoring Good Morning Arizona six months after the show debuted. A native of Kansas City, Missouri, Pasmore went to Blue Valley High School. Later on, he enrolled at Kansas State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) Radio and Television in 1983. Following his graduation, Pasmore was employed in the nation’s smallest TV market in Kirksville, Mo.
Pasmore spent the first 5 years at 3TV reporting on the streets then shifted to the anchor chair a few months after Good Morning Arizona was established. He has been on that desk ever since. Pasmore covered various key stories over the years and won an Emmy for his coverage of the Los Angeles riots. He also covered the Oklahoma City Bombing, and the OJ Simpson trial, and traveled throughout the country covering politics and breaking news stories.

One of Pasmore’s notable stories was spending the night on the Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier in the Atlantic and reporting on Arizona sailors working onboard the carrier. In addition, Pasmore had the opportunity to fly in an F-16 out of Luke Air Force base and also with the Blue Angles in a F/A 18 Hornet. Moreover, Pasmore tends to be a daredevil and is known for doing crazy things on live TV. He proved that by riding a bull on Good Morning Arizona. Sadly he tore his bicep during the ride and had to undergo surgery to repair it.
September 18, 2019, was a day Pasmore will always remember as it was his 30th anniversary with Arizona’s family. He is among the few across the country to stay at one station for that long and he says the reason is simple, it truly is Arizona’s family. During his free time, Pasmore builds and remodels homes, likes flying his airplane, and above all, spends time with his wife Lauri, their two daughters, and their dog Rhett.
