Kristen Currie is an American meteorologist, weather anchor, and forecaster currently working as a meteorologist at KXAN-TTV in Austin, Texas. Prior to that, she served as a meteorologist for four years at CBS/FOX affiliate in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
In addition, Kristen attended the University of Colorado at Boulder and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies majoring in Climate and Energy and a minor in Atmospheric and Oceanic Studies. Besides that, she received a certificate in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University.
However, while in college in her junior and senior years, Kristen interned at the ABC and FOX affiliates in Denver. While there, she met an experienced meteorologist whom she learned from how to forecast the wild weather of the Rocky Mountain State.
Currently, Kristen works as a weekend evening and noon meteorologist and is excited to be back in Texas to explore all Austin has to offer. She likes eating all and different types of food that Texas offers. She has also adventured ATX’s food and wine scene.
