Kumasi Aaron is an American journalist currently working as a weekday morning news anchor and reporter at ABC 7 News, California. Before working at KGO-TV she worked as the National correspondent for E.W. Scripps in Greater Denver Area. Kumasi enrolled at Florida A&M University (FAMU) and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Later on, she got a post-graduate internship at ABC News, New York. In addition, Aaron enrolled at the University of Denver graduating with a Master of Arts in Communication Management.
Moreover, Aaron graduated with an accounting degree but unfortunately, she couldn’t get a job in TV News. She got a post-graduate internship at ABC News leading her behind the scenes to work at WABC. Her first on-air job as a news anchor and reporter was in Fayetteville, Arkansas at KSFM Channel 5. Aaron also served as an anchor in Jacksonville, Florida. Kumasi worked as an anchor at WJXT-TV channel 4 from June 2012 to June 2016. She had a chance to report the live Charleston church shooting, the 50th anniversary of March on Washington, and Michael Brown’s Funeral in Ferguson.
Later on, Aaron worked as a National Correspondent for the E.W Scripps Company from August 2016 to July 2019. She worked with her team in E.W.
