Payton Malone Biography
Payton Malone is an American Meteorologist working with WWL-TV in New Orleans where he serves as Weekday Morning Meteorologist. He joined the station in September 2019. Apart from doing the weather, Malone also spends a lot of his free time in the kitchen baking.
What’s more, in 2010 Python joined college and graduated in 2012. He later enrolled at the University of Oklahoma and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Geography with a minor in Meteorology from the same university in 2017. Prior to joining WWL-TV, Malone worked with WXXV-TV based in Gulfport.
Furthermore, Payton remembers growing up terrified of the storms and he believes that his fear turned into an obsession. He was raised in Tornado Alley a couple of hours northwest of Dallas in the northwestern Texas town of Archer City. His first hurricane coverage was Nate. He states that he realized after living on the Gulf Coast for a few years that tropical forecasting is where his passion is currently.
