Pete Bouchard is an American meteorologist currently working at NBC 10 Boston and he broadcasts weekday evenings. He has been in net work since it was launched on January 1, 2017. Most recently, he worked at sister station New England Cable News, which he joined on January 11, 2016. His real name is Joseph Pierre Leon Bouchard.
Bouchard began her career at WVII-TV in 1994. He then worked at WHDH in June 2002. In 2005 he became the chief meteorologist when previous chief meteorologist Todd Gross left. Prior to that, he worked for WPXT in Portland, Maine. During his tenure he was chief meteorologist for four years, and before that as a weekend meteorologist for WFXT in Boston. He has also worked as a weekend meteorologist at Portland-based WGME-TV and WMTW.
Moreover, Bouchard has been nominated twice for a New England Emmy for Best Weathercast. He won the Best of Boston award for Best Meteorologist in 2007, 2008, and 2010. He was named the Maine Association of Broadcasters Best Meteorologist in 2002. Pete also won an AP Award for Best Meteorologist in 2001.
After Pete graduated from Lyndon State College in Vermont he gained experience across all of New England’s microclimates. He visited countless schools (where some of the students went onto become interns of his), civic organizations and donated time to dozens of charities.
