Yamiche Alcindor is an American well known journalist who is currently working as a Washington correspondent for NBC News. Previously Yamiche worked as the host of Washington Week on PBS and as a reporter for PBS NewsHour, USA Today, and The New York Times.
She largely writes about politics and social issues.

Yamiche began his career as a reporter at Newsday a newspaper based in Melville, New York where she worked for two years covering many things including the 2010 Haiti earthquake. In December 2011 that after she left Newsday Yamiche became a multimedia reporter for USA Today to cover breaking news. While she was there Yamiche reported many things among them being the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, the killing of Trayvon Martin, the Ferguson unrest, and the Baltimore protests.

After working for USA Today for four years Yamiche went to work for The New York Times as a national political reporter in November 2015. While she was there she covered the presidential campaigns of Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders.

Yamiche started to work as a Washington correspondent for NBC News in March 2022. Most recently she made her last appearance moderating Washington Week, and she announced that she is aiming to put in more time fulfilling her duties at NBC and writing her memoir.
