Dorothy Tucker is an American journalist who has been working as a reporter for CBS2 Chicago since 1988. She is the station’s lead investigator and is also President of the National Association of Black Journalists. For her hard work and determination, she has been honored numerous times. In 2021, she won two regional Edward R. Murrow awards and was part of the news team that won a national Murrow for overall excellence.
In addition, he is the recipient of the 2021 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Chicago Association of Journalists. Tucker was honored by the Chicago Association of Black Journalists with their annual award for Outstanding Television Reporting. She also received a national UPI Spot News Award. 2021 was a great year for Tucker as she also won two regional Edward R. Murrow awards.
Tucker comes to CBS2 from KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh where she served as a general assignment reporter and talk show host. Before that, she was a general assignment reporter at KWGN-TV in Denver. She has also served at WREG-TV in Memphis and WMBD-TV in Peoria. Talking about her education, she is a graduate of Northwestern University. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Communications.
