Philip Rucker is an American reporter and author who is currently the White House Bureau Chief at The Washington Post, where he has been working since 2005. She is also a Political Analyst for NBC News ^ MSNBC and co-author of “A Very Stable Genius”.
Rucker graduated from St. Andrew’s School in Savannah, Georgia in 2002, where he was a valedictorian. In 2017, the school gave him its Distinguished Alumni Award. In 2006, Philip received a history degree for Yale University where he worked for the Yale Daily News as a reporter and editor.
Additionally, he interned at The Washington Post, one of the most popular and widely read newspapers in the United States in 2005. After his graduation, he was made the Washington Post reporter for the metro area sometime in 2006. He held the position until 2007 when he started working as a Maryland political reporter.
Later in 2008, Rucker was appointed the National Political Reporter. He held the position for the next two years until he was promoted to work as a Congressional Correspondent. Eventually, he was appointed as a reporter in the White House. His big break came in 2014 when he was appointed the White House Bureau Chief during the administration of Brack Obama.
